Thomas Keenan teaches media theory, literature, and human rights at Bard College, where he is associate professor of comparative literature and directs the Human Rights Project. He is author of Fables of Responsibility (Stanford University Press 1997), and editor of books on the museum and on the wartime journalism of Paul de Man. His current manuscript is called Live Feed: Crisis, Intervention, Media, about the news media and contemporary conflicts.
