Synopsis

"... language resumes, in its consistent stable form (the political stereotype). Which language must then be swallowed, without nausea... . It consists in de-politicizing what is apparently political, and in politicizing what apparently is not."    — R. Barthes

Images originally from 16mm film are transformed into political and filmic propaganda. The work freezes a frame, extracting one image out of a sequence. Taking the frame and "elaborating" it by using elements of narration, titles, form, and enlarging it to poster size. In this closed area, communication takes on a new narrative symbiosis.
